Newburgh Shoot

Newburgh Shoot

Now established over several decades the Newburgh Priory Shoot offers pheasant, partridge and duck. With deep valleys, rolling farmland and nearly 1600 acres of woodland the shoot provides high, challenging birds against a stunning backdrop. Shooting is available for groups of eight to ten guns set over one or more days. The layout and topography of the shoot means that it can offer a variety of days to suit an individual’s requirements and ability ranging from 100 to 400 bird days.

The Newburgh Priory shoot is now run and hosted by Mark Faulkner who ensures that the days run smoothly and provides the guests with the warm welcome and great hospitality - so important to a good days shooting!

Depending on your requirements a full cooked breakfast can be provided in the charming Coxwold Tearooms as well as a late afternoon/early evening meal in one of the excellent surrounding pubs or hotels. With a wide range of accommodation available in the area the Newburgh Shoot is the ideal location for a fantastic sporting break. Shooting is available from early September as the partridge and duck seasons start through to the end of January. We are also pleased to announce that the shoot has a new Headkeeper, Craig Ring, who has recently moved from Urra.
