From Air TV - the makers of Bangers & Cash - comes an exciting new series following local auctioneer Angus Ashworth as he tours some of Yorkshire’s grandest stately homes. The mission? To uncover hidden treasures that can be sold at auction to help fund vital repairs and restoration work.
During the first episode Angus spends the weekend at Newburgh Priory, where he views Oliver Cromwell's (alleged) body buried in the attic and a few serious maintenance problems.
Catch Angus as he spends the weekend with aristocratic owners of houses steeped in history and heritage who now live with huge financial pressures, thanks to the costs of maintaining their grand but outdated homes. Using his skills as a businessman, valuer and house clearance specialist, Angus is scouring attics and cellars for forgotten relics that can be sold at auction to help fund repairs and restoration work.
He’ll be arriving in style in a vintage biplane, giving him a birds eye view of the problems his weekend hosts face. From fishing rods to train sets, lost portraits to stuffed pets, Angus unearths relics of a bygone age and turns them into cash to preserve our heritage for future generations.
