BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 25 AUGUST 11am-4pm
Newburgh Priory opens its gardens on Bank Holiday Monday with a Flower Power Plant Fair. If you fancy a stroll through 40 acres of gardens,
woodland, water gardens, a secret walled garden and also purchase quality plants from highly respected plant nurseries, this could be for you.
As the gardening season slowly turns towards autumn, gardeners will now be able to buy spring flowering plants and bulbs ready for Spring as well as late summer and autumn flowering plants.
“It’s a great time to be buying plants,’ says organiser, Judy Popley. “Buying at this time of the year allows them to bed themselves in, get a good root system and of course, they then thrive in the spring giving your garden a head start.”
Plant nurseries include Morton Nurseries, Dark Star Plants, S J Hosta, D K Plants, Fayrefield Design & Horticulture, The Herb Nursery, Freckles & Flora, Northern Ark Nursery, Summerfield Plant Nursery, Giddy Kippers and NEW, A&A Plants. Garden accessories include Alfresco Design selling all things metal, Gardening with Wildlife, Respect Soaps, Willowdale sculptures and Must Forge.
Entry to the fair, gardens and grounds is just £5.00, card or cash, and parking is free.
Refreshments are served throughout the day.
Dogs welcome on short leads. Last entry 3.30pm.
